"Bud Light is trying to ensure the Internet of Things includes beer. The nation's largest beer brand today is launching the "Bud-E Fridge" that promises to give drinkers real-time data on their fridge -- like how much beer is on hand -- via a mobile app.
The WiFi-connected refrigerator has a digital counter on the outside showing the number of beers inside. The information is also displayed on an app available for Apple and Android devices. Both the app and fridge include a countdown timer showing how long until the beer inside reaches its "optimal serving temperature" of below 32 degrees "without freezing them," according to the Anheuser-Busch InBev-owned brand. Bud Light is also making an ecommerce play: when the fridge is low on brews, the app integrates with alcohol delivery service Saucey."
Laurel & Wolf designs blogger Chriselle Lim's Living Room
"As the woman behind fashion and lifestyle blog The Chriselle Factor, Chriselle Lim is used to being busy. So when she set out to redo her Los Angeles living room she thought, "what was one more project?" But, in her third trimester of pregnancy, Lim quickly realized revamping her home would be nearly impossible to do alone. She would need to call in help.
Lim found the perfect partner to help infuse a sense of luxury into her dark, outdated space. "When we discussed the design, we knew we wanted it to be glam. And not have it be over feminine," Lucinda Pace, the designer behind Lim's living room update, told ElleDecor.com.
Pace hails from Laurel & Wolf, a leading online interior design marketplace based out of Los Angeles. Using the online platform, Lim was able communicate with Pace about how she envisioned the room. From there, Pace crafted a look — supplying Lim with a custom inspiration board, furniture plan, decorating instructions, and even a shopping list — that incorporated Lim's taste and love for minimal design, all while keeping the makeover within the budget."
